Events Benefiting Aboriginal Art Centres

Events have the power to create opportunities for local businesses, strengthen community connections and generate lasting economic and cultural impact.

At Wrapped Creations, we believe one of the most meaningful ways this can happen is through collaboration with Aboriginal Art Centres. We have designed and delivered countless events showcasing and supporting important Aboriginal works across WA, Australia and internationally in the UK.

Aboriginal Art Centres play a vital role in preserving culture, supporting artists and creating sustainable economic opportunities within communities. They are places where stories are shared, culture is celebrated and artists are empowered to build careers while maintaining strong connections to Country.

Creating Meaningful Connections Through Events

Whether it's a corporate conference, gala dinner, community celebration or cultural event, incorporating Aboriginal artwork and creative experiences can add depth, authenticity and connection to an event.

From commissioning artwork and sourcing gifts to creating exhibition spaces and artist showcases, events can provide opportunities for Aboriginal artists and art centres to reach new audiences while generating direct economic benefits for their communities.

Importantly, these partnerships go beyond aesthetics. They create opportunities for guests to engage with local stories, culture and creativity in a meaningful way.

Colours of Our Country:
Celebrating Aboriginal Art and Culture

The Colours of Our Country series brings together Aboriginal artists, communities and audiences through vibrant exhibitions and cultural experiences.

This event creates a platform for artists to share their work, tell their stories and celebrate the connection between culture, community and Country. We showcased artwork from the Cheeditha and Juluwarlu Art Group, Yinjaa-Barni Art and independent artists. These events are vehicles for cultural exchange and economic participation with artist in residence programs happening throughout the duration of the exhibit.

Last year, Colours of Our Country celebrated 20 years, offering Pilbara artists the opportunity to showcase their work in Perth, Busselton and London! It was truly a milestone to share the incredible work internationally. With all sale profits going directly to the artists and art centres, it was an absolute joy to see Australian Pilbara art in the heart of London.

Delivering Community Impact Through Event Design

We are always looking for ways events can contribute positively to the communities in which they are delivered.

We engage local Aboriginal artists, as artwork in event design can truly elevate an event. We were delighted to have Artist Jarnda Councillor Barns creating a live painting at the Shooting Stars Gala Dinner last December which was later auctioned as a fundraiser for the Shooting Stars program. We also ensure to source locally produced gifts and merchandise and partner with Aboriginal organisations and community groups.

These decisions not only enhance the guest experience but also align with the growing focus on social impact, Indigenous participation and ESG outcomes across the mining sector.

Events That Leave a Lasting Legacy

Successful events are measured by impact. By partnering with Aboriginal art centres and artists, organisations have an opportunity to support local economies, celebrate culture and create meaningful connections between people and place.
