Regional Community Events
Make it stand out
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Opportunities for genuine connection have never been more important. Community events in regional towns give people a reason to come together, celebrate where they live and create shared experiences to strengthen the community.
At Wrapped Creations, we've had the privilege of delivering community events across regional Western Australia for many years. From the Pilbara to the Southwest and beyond, we've seen first-hand the incredible impact community events have on the people and places they bring together.

Successful Community Events
We measure the success of a community event by connection:
Parents watching their kids dance to the music in front of the stage.
Neighbours reconnecting after months apart.
Local businesses welcoming new customers.
Community groups sharing their advocacy.
Visitors discovering a vibrant town they've never explored.
For regional communities in particular, events often become the highlight of the year. They bring together people of all ages, celebrate local identity and create lasting memories that stay with the community long after the event is over.

Passion of the Pilbara: Celebrating Community in Onslow
One event that perfectly captures this philosophy is Passion of the Pilbara, returning to Onslow next month!
Proudly delivered by Wrapped Creations in partnership with the Shire of Ashburton, Passion of the Pilbara is a celebration of belonging in a thriving regional community.
Families come together for a day of live entertainment, local food, children's activities and community celebration. Local businesses, community groups and residents all play a part in creating an event that reflects the heart of Onslow and showcases the vibrant spirit of the region. Previously, the event has been woven through the entire town from a beachside movie night at the Onslow Beach Resort to kick off the festivities, to sunrise yoga on the foreshore, a live cooking demonstration at the Community Gardens, skating workshops at the Onslow Skate Park and a bustling community market showcasing local businesses, the event invites people to experience every corner of Onslow.
Behind the scenes, our team spends months planning every detail from production and logistics to stakeholder engagement and event operations so the community can enjoy an unforgettable experience. Creating an event of this scale in a remote location requires months of careful planning and creative problem-solving. Limited flights into town, restricted accommodation, and fewer local suppliers all add to the logistical challenge. Even sourcing ingredients for the cooking demonstration required thinking outside the box - when a specific local fish wasn't available, our team coordinated transport from outside the region to ensure the experience remained authentic and delivered to the highest standard.
Each year we always ensure a stand out headline act for the community with artists such as Birds of Tokyo, The Hoodoo Gurus and this year Michael Paynter. We also have cooking demonstrations from MasterChef stars or teams from My Kitchen Rules, plus prizes, give away's and incredible fireworks and pyrotechnics displays.
Local businesses, accommodation providers, caterers, community groups and suppliers all play an active role in bringing the event to life. Their enthusiasm, collaboration and willingness to get involved transform the festival into something far greater than a one-day event. It's a celebration created with the community and that's what makes it such a memorable experience year after year.

Regional Communities Deserve Extraordinary Experiences
Delivering an event in regional Western Australia comes with its own unique challenges. From remote logistics, changing weather conditions, supplier coordination and limited infrastructure, these events require careful planning and event expertise. When we deliver regional events we ensure every event is tailored to the community it serves. Regional communities deserve the same high-quality experiences as anywhere else in the state.
We work closely with councils, resource companies, sponsors and local stakeholders to create events that genuinely reflect the people and places they're designed for. We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach because every community has its own story to tell.

Creating Communities That Feel Connected
We believe the best events develop stronger communities. Our passion has always been creating experiences to bring people together, celebrate regional Western Australia and leave a lasting legacy for the communities we work with.
Whether we're producing a large-scale regional festival, a community family day or a cultural celebration, our focus remains the same: creating events people look forward to, talk about and remember for years to come.
When a community comes together, everyone benefits.
