Designing Events in the Pilbara

Remote, Rugged, Remarkable

The Pilbara is one of the most stunning regions in Australia — vast landscapes, rich culture, and world-class settings for unique events. At Wrapped Creations, we thrive on transforming remote locations into extraordinary spaces for a premium event experience, such as on the shores of a heritage listed beach, family fun under the Pilbara sky and bringing a glamorous feel to the most remotes area of the Pilbara. In this blog, discover more about our amazing events (without four walls) that rival anything you’d find in a capital city

Our Key Focus

Designing events in regional areas without access to traditional event spaces are a wonderful creative opportunity for Wrapped. It's exciting for our team to think outside the box and host a dinner on the beach, a cocktail party in an airport hanger or a corporate conference at an eco resort in the heart of the outback. However, it's important to remember, designing an event in a remote location does come with its challenges. There are multiple logistics to consider from transport, freight, power and climate. Events in unique environments call for meticulous planning and strategy, in particular sacred sites and places carrying a lot of meaningful to First Nations culture. We always engage with local communities to ensure we are supporting those closest to the event site and work alongside shires, councils and suppliers to create a sustainable and impactful unique event.

NAIDOC in the Pilbara

We were delighted to host a long table dinner as guests were treated to an unforgettable menu by The Storyteller Chef, Zach Green, whose dishes honoured Country and culture with every bite. ‘Finding Home: Staircase To The Moon’ for NAIDOC Week 2025, was set at the stunning shoreline of Hearson’s Cove in Murujuga National Park - now officially a heritage-listed site. Everyone enjoyed an incredible event under the breathtaking natural phenomenon of the Staircase to the Moon. With only a short 15-minute drive from the Karratha centre, this was a world class event of premium dining and cultural storytelling under the Pilbara sky.

Onslow 100

In May, we had a blast bringing the WOW factor to Onslow’s 100 Years Celebration! Over 1,000 locals came together for a huge 12-hour celebration filled with entertainment, community spirit, and plenty of fun. We transformed the beachfront road into a buzzing festival precinct, complete with street entertainment, food vans, and a lively pop-up bar that kept the good vibes flowing well into the night.

One of the true highlights was seeing the community unite to create 100 hand-decorated lanterns and 10 stunning art panels showcasing Onslow’s vibrant past and bright future. Capping off the evening, a spectacular 12-minute fireworks and pyrotechnic show lit up the Onslow sky, with everyone gathered along the foreshore in absolute awe. We were delighted to once again work alongside the Shire of Ashburton, creating lasting memories to carry into the next 100 years.

Rio Tinto Paraburdoo Service Awards

When we see glamour in our calendar, we get excited! Designing events in regional WA gives the Wrapped team the chance to get creative and bring sparkle to even the most remote locations. The Rio Tinto Paraburdoo Service Awards was a stunning celebration honouring long-standing staff, with entertainment, incredible food, and plenty of shared memories. However, the true showstopper was a breathtaking Chandelier assembled crystal by crystal by our team! This is proof that with a little creativity (and a lot of patience), we can make elegance shine anywhere - even in the heart of the Pilbara!

Family Days

Each year we are thrilled to produce family day events across three weekends in the Pilbara, creating inclusive family experiences. This year we had our 7 Mile Road, Dampier and Cape Lambert Family Days, bringing loved ones up from Perth to experience and showcase what their family members do while at work.

This year’s Dampier Family Day took fun to new heights — literally — with helicopter tours giving our families a bird’s-eye view of the site. Alongside the epic aerial experience, families enjoyed mine site tours, kids’ rides, hands-on activities, and a day packed with entertainment. 7 Mile Family Day was the ultimate chance for loved ones to step into the world of our rail operations. Families enjoyed mine site tours, workshop visits, tamper tours, and even hopped on our iconic Mini Loco Ride! Our Cape Lambert Family Day gave loved ones the chance to see up close how incredible operations in the Pilbara are connected to the world.

Our Commitment

Wrapped Creations turns the ‘impossible’ into unforgettable, setting the benchmark for premium events in remote regions. From rugged coastlines to operational mine sites, the Pilbara offers unparalleled settings for premium events.

Wrapped Creations knows how to navigate the challenges and unlock the opportunities in delivering world-class experiences where others might see only obstacles.
